Propylene Glycol (also called Propanediol) is used as a supposed humectant in cosmetics which is a fancy word for moisturizer , but in fact it is “industrial anti-freeze” and the major ingredient in brake and hydraulic fluid. Tests show it can be a strong skin irritant. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on Propylene Glycol warn to avoid skin contact as it is systemic and can cause liver abnormalities and kidney damage.
Propylene Glycol is a colorless, viscous, hygroscopic (retains moisture easily) noxious liquid and is even found in some pet foods, processed foods and cosmetics, toothpastes, shampoos, deodorants and lotions.
It is implicated in contact dermatitis, kidney damage and liver abnormalities. It can inhibit skin cell growth in human tests, can cause gastro-intestinal disturbances, nausea, headache and vomiting, central nervous system depression and can damage cell membranes causing rashes, dry skin and surface damage (according to the MSDS).

This cleanser uses these ingredients:

It would have been better if the last few ingredients were not used but it is basically as good as it gets. It is way better than most other products you can buy.
